Donna, Class of 2018

My time at JSCC helped me blossom both academically and personally. I always received genuine support from all my professors and other JSCC staff. My criminal justice professor and advisor, Karen Perrin, made a special impact on me due to her intelligence, commitment, and leadership qualities.

Grace, Class of 2025

The criminal justice professors at Jackson State truly changed my life forever. If it wasn’t for them I would not be where I am today. Not only did they support me throughout classes but they taught me to be a better version of myself.

Christie, Class of 2025

My Respiratory Therapy instructors were the greatest teachers I’ve ever had. They were always available if I needed help. They also pushed me to do my best, and that has truly helped my career as a respiratory therapist. I was able to move to Alaska and currently have a wonderful job there as an RRT!

Linda, Class of 1997

Jackson State gave me the opportunity to get out of the factory and back to school at 40. Best decision I ever made and now get to do what I love!

Stacey, Class of 2001

This place has helped open so any doors for me and gave me life-long connections that I will take with me forever.

Karalee, Class of 2024

The respiratory therapy program was very hard and I had many times where I doubted my abilities as a student, but I had many peers and professors telling me to keep going and when I finally reached my end goal and became a registered therapist I was more than thankful for the experience I was able to have. To this day I still ask myself “what would Christie and Herb do” and it never fails to boost my confidence!

Shellie, Class of 2020

JSCC not only equipped me with the knowledge and confidence to succeed but also gave me the opportunity to give back through teaching and leadership. I’m proud to be part of an institution that transforms lives—just as it transformed mine.

Sylvia, Class of 1992

I fondly remember Dr. Charles Cooper and what a wonderful teacher and mentor he was when I was at JSCC majoring in communications with the goal of going into print journalism. I owe my later success in university and in my career to my solid start at JSCC.

David, Class of 2005

Jackson State set me up to succeed at the university level and get started in my career. The faculty in the English and Communications departments were especially helpful and inspired my course of study. I continue to see the impact JSCC makes in our community to help so many pursue their education.

Earnest, Class of 1981

JSCC gave me the boost I needed to reach further and climb higher. There is power in community-Jackson State Community College!
